Sun Catcher is a light-responsive installation developed in collaboration with Rive Roshan for Alcova during Milan Design Week 2025. SOL-R&D engineered the custom solar panels at the heart of the piece: a semi-circular glass structure that shifts from opaque to translucent color. Integrated solar cells generate energy during the day, which powers the artwork’s illumination at night. The project shows how solar surfaces can be both functional and expressive, blending energy generation with visual storytelling in public space.
